Woman gives kitten a chance at a full life, and now she sports a crooked but beautiful smile

A woman in Turkey found out about the case of a stray kitten in poor condition, which had injuries all over its body, was dirty and malnourished. At the veterinary clinic where she was treated, they discovered that she suffered from some infections, among them was the Calicivirus, a highly contagious kind of feline flu that would have caused a loss of tissue around her mouth.

Ahsen, an animal rescuer, decided to step in and help the little feline as soon as she heard her story. Despite her delicate state of health and her scruffy appearance, as soon as the kitten saw the woman, she approached her looking for a little affection.

Without thinking twice, Ahsen decided to give the kitten a fighting chance and against all odds took him home to care for her. There he offered her a space so that she was comfortable and began her recovery process.

The kitten received the name of Zombie. Ahsen cleaned the dirt from her body and treated the wounds in her mouth, she was determined to help her heal.

Unfortunately, due to the infections he suffered, Zombi’s mouth was crooked, it was a long road to recovery, but thanks to the love and care of his caregiver, he managed to overcome each obstacle one by one.

Thanks to Ahsen’s medicines and attention, Zombie was able to eat on her own after a long time and without pain in the process, the feline was so grateful that she did not stop purring and showing her crooked smile.

After the weeks, Zombi gained weight and was increasingly outgoing. To continue her recovery, two lower teeth were extracted, which made her diet easier.

Ahsen was satisfied and proud to see the process of her brave feline, now out of danger they could focus on healing not only the wounds on her body but also those inside her.

After two months of recovery, Zombie received a well-deserved spa day and the happy news that he would become an official member of Ahsen’s family. He was now part of the resident kittens of the house.

The cats welcomed their new sister happily, taught her to play and invited her to dine by their side. Zombie immediately started following Zikri, the family’s tuxedo cat, they are great friends and Zikri has all the patience to withstand the energy of his sister.

Ahsen dice:

«Being able to help animals like Zombie makes me happy. It’s an invaluable feeling to be able to say ‘we did it’, to see his change and to be instrumental in this.”

Finally, Zombie’s life is everything she ever wanted, she has a loving family and caring siblings to look after her, and now she just hopes to continue living the full life of a spoiled indoor kitty.
