Ingredients:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup milk
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 1/2 cups diced strawberries
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
6. Gently fold in the diced strawberries until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out into an even layer.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
